Hello. Thank you for considering Blanchet House as a volunteer opportunity in Portland. Compassionate individuals age 14 and older are needed on-site to:

  • Serve meals and drinks.
  • Sort clothing, prepare ingredients, pack care kits, and more.
  • Be a guest chef. (Must have food handlers card.)

To sign up first, complete the online orientation. After that, you can schedule volunteer shifts. If you are already a registered volunteer click the button below to create a new profile in Volunteer Local. Also, COVID vaccinations and masks are required to volunteer on-site.

COVID-19 Safety Information

Under current circumstances, we have safety measures in place to protect our guests from COVID. We strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone including volunteers. For this reason, we ask you to help us now by doing the following:

VACCINATIONS Presently volunteers must provide proof of vaccination.
MASKS Everyone is required to wear a mask now. As a result, please bring your own.
