Thank you for considering Blanchet House and our programs as a volunteer opportunity in Portland. Compassionate individuals aged 14 and older are needed to:

  • Serve meals and drinks in the cafe. (M-Sat)
  • Sort donated clothing. (M-Sat)
  • Help at the women’s shelter (M-Sun)

To sign up to volunteer, create a profile, then choose shifts in Volunteer Local (Aug-Sept 2026) or Virtuous VOMO (Oct. 2026).

Our overnight women’s shelter in NW Portland is seeking volunteers to help with a variety of tasks.

Volunteering is good for your employees, business, and community! Blanchet House workplace giving programs are designed to bring people together. Plus, they provide aid and hope for our neighbors in need. You can choose to serve on-site or find activities to do off-site.

Volunteer From Home

In addition to volunteering, there are many ways you can help people experiencing homelessness now. For example, you can volunteer to make hygiene care kits, sign up to make sack lunches, or donate needed clothing today. Plus, you can donate needed funding.
