As the Volunteer Program Manager, Michael Seid manages thousands of volunteers to serve three meals a day in our cafe, sort and organize clothing, and so much more. After he interned for Blanchet House back in 2021, he realized that he thrives the most within intersectional communities that engage with folks from all walks of life. Michael also served as a Day Services Coordinator at Blanchet House before moving into his current role.
Michael received a BS in Organizational Communication from the University of Portland in 2022 with a focus on global sustainability. Coming from an ethnic family that started out poor after immigrating, he not only understands the intercultural hardships that minority populations face in our current system but has also grown to adopt a strong work ethic.
If you come in to volunteer, feel free to ask him about his interests in photography, gaming, and staying active.
