Maggie Cornish
Maggie Cornish is a native Oregonian who recently moved back after spending five years in Northern Nevada. She lives outside of Portland with her husband and two senior pets. Maggie loves spending time with her family playing board games or camping and tries to find time between her final graduate school classes to do something creative.
Her educational journey started at Portland Community College and continued at the University of Nevada, Reno where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in behavioral neuroscience. She wanted to have a good understanding of how the condition of our body and brain impacts mental health issues before continuing into a graduate program where she will obtain her Master of Social Work degree in 2024.
Maggie has been a long-time advocate for intersecting mental health and addiction programs, working with the SAFE Project during her undergraduate program to raise awareness for recovery resources and support on campus. Maggie is excited to step into her role as a Resident Support Specialist at Blanchet House and continue learning from everyone she meets.
