Emily Harrington

Emily Harrington, RN, PMHNP, has served on the board since 2014 in various roles including president from 2018-2020. Emily brings a strong background in healthcare to the position. She worked as a nurse in the Providence Health system after receiving her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Portland and a Master’s in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Practice from Gonzaga University.

“I believe our organization is called to do more than just feed our guests, but rather to find creative ways to heal them both physically and mentally,” she says.

Emily’s history with Blanchet House goes back to her days serving as a volunteer from Catholic Central High School where she met her husband, Joey Harrington. The Harrington’s have two sons, aged 9 and 12.

Emily partnered with the University of Portland to open the Harrington Health Clinic, a nurse-led clinic located within Blanchet House.
