Volunteer group at Blanchet House

Volunteer Groups

Group volunteer activities help us serve people in need while giving your team a meaningful, hands-on way to give back.

Group Volunteer Criteria

Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a group with Blanchet House, Blanchet Farm, or Bethanie’s Room. Please review the information below before submitting a Group Volunteer Activity Request Form. A staff member will contact you to discuss and schedule your activity.

Lead Time

Most group activities require at least 30 days of advance notice. Meal service requests often need more time. Flexibility with your dates, times, and preferred activities increases the likelihood that we can schedule your group. Please note that space fills up quickly during holidays and community days of service like Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Thanksgiving Day.

Group Size

Each site and activity has a maximum group size to ensure safety and meaningful engagement. Final group size will be confirmed during scheduling.

Attendance Commitment

Please register only the number of volunteers you can reliably bring. Last-minute cancellations or showing up with fewer people can disrupt our meal or service operations. Repeated no-shows may affect future scheduling.

Off-Site Activities

If you’re interested in doing your activity off-site but would like a Blanchet House staff member to participate, please fill out the Group Volunteer Activity Request Form as well.

Required Paperwork

All participants must complete the volunteer intake and waiver forms before their activity. Links and deadlines will be provided once your group is confirmed.

Age and Supervision

Age eligibility varies by location and activity. If minors are permitted, guardian permission and adult-to-youth ratios apply. These details will be confirmed during scheduling.

Supplies and Materials

Groups planning care kits, sack lunch, or similar off-site activities are responsible for providing their own supplies. In some cases, Blanchet House can order materials if funding is provided in advance.

Photography and Promotion

We encourage groups to share their volunteer experience on social media or other platforms. However, all photos, videos, and public mentions must follow Blanchet House’s content and privacy policies. Do not photograph anyone without their verbal permission.

Next Steps

  1. Review the guidelines above with your group.
