Jules Clark (they/them) is a life-long food nerd who started collecting cookbooks at age 4 and hasn’t stopped feeding folks since. Born in the Air Force and raised in New Zealand, Jules has always been interested in people’s stories and walking the world in different shoes. This led to them volunteering in food pantries, international missionary projects, and foster programs. Because they clearly don’t believe in this thing called “relaxing”, Jules also studies at Portland State University in the Sociology / Pre-Law program, decorates celebration cakes for fun, and practices jiu-jitsu. On their days off, Jules can be found teaching classes with their partner, Ivarr, or getting competitive over pinball with their three teenage kids.
After volunteering with Blanchet House for several months, Jules is looking forward to meeting more of the community that supports Blanchet House’s mission and continuing to serve and strengthen Portland by caring for its guests.
